The Writing Lab/Four Week Coaching Intensive

1:1 Coaching - Four Weeks

  • Coaching session

The goal of this coaching program is to establish a regular writing practice and become a better writer over the course of four weeks. I'm here to be your guide.

Writing is hard. Period.

  • Maybe you’ve tried different courses and eBooks.

  • Maybe you’ve committed to a 30-day writing challenge, only to have the wheels fall off on day three.

  • Maybe you bought a writing practice workbook but never got around to it.

Many of these self-directed writing practices lack one key element: accountability.

If there’s nothing at stake and no person to report back to, writing routines often unravel pretty quickly.

That’s life! We’re all busy, bombarded with information all day, and stacked with responsibilities. I get it. I really do.

And I want to help.

That's why I’ve created this coaching program—in hopes of helping fellow writers improve their writing skills and establish a regular writing practice.

Think of me as your editor: I’m here to poke holes in your work, make it stronger, and show you how to think like a veteran writer so you keep getting better over time.

The Coaching Program

The goal of this one-on-one coaching program is to help you establish and fine-tune your writing practice over the course of four weeks.

Here’s how it works:

You’ll complete an intake survey that will help me better understand your major concerns/questions so I can tailor our sessions to be exactly what you need.

Whether you’re working to start writing a weekly newsletter or building out a series of articles to post on your website, we’ll set a goal that will help you get a running start with your writing practice.

Each week, we’ll meet and check in for a 30-45 minute video or phone call. During our call, we'll talk through any questions or issues you’re struggling with.

I'll also give you a piece of homework (a writing assignment tied to your goal), and then we'll discuss it at the beginning of the next call before moving on to the next lesson. I’ll provide detailed feedback on your work and help you evaluate your progress through the eyes of an experienced editor.

By the end of the four weeks, you’ll have:

  • Answers to your writing-related questions

  • Established a weekly writing practice

  • An editorial calendar tied to your writing objectives (a topic list for future pieces along with due dates)

  • Four weeks worth of edited and reviewed writing assignments (i.e. four articles, newsletter drafts, Twitter threads, etc.)

PLUS: You’ll also get my workbook with additional writing practice assignments and a reading list for ongoing writing education post-coaching

Who it’s for: Anyone who wants to become a better writer

Price: $250.00 per session ($1,000.00 total for the four-week program)

Limited spots: Keep in mind that these coaching sessions are limited, as I only work with one or two clients at a time. This allows me to give each new client the attention he or she deserves. You will be notified of the next available spot once you complete the application form.

“Taking Kaleigh’s coaching program was the best thing I could’ve done for my writing. She not only taught me absolutely crucial lessons, but also helped me realize my unique value and purpose as a writer. My confidence has skyrocketed since working with her. She is so intentional, and our time together was never wasted.”

Allie Decker

“I’ve worked with Kaleigh for SumoMe and she has consistently delivered great work. Her writing style is perfect for what we’re looking for, she never misses a deadline, and she is very communicative. I couldn’t ask for a better freelancer!”

Sarah Peterson

Content Lead for CPG & Saas Startups

“My time with Kaleigh was so worthwhile! It was so helpful to talk to a real person and have the opportunity to ask all the questions I had. She was very patient and completely transparent, sharing some insider's tips and tricks you can't find online. After working with her, I felt less overwhelmed and ready to get this started on my own, with new tools under my belt.”

Cady Wakitsch, Content Marketer

"I enjoy taking online marketing courses, but nothing improves my marketing skills as much as getting feedback on writing exercises. Kaleigh gave me pointers on how to take my writing from good to great, and we covered so much ground in just four weeks. I'm excited to go back and improve some older published content, as well as apply her suggestions going forward."
